Food Banks

Cabarrus County is home to Cooperative Christian Ministry (CCM). Their mission is “to provide immediate assistance to members of our community who are experiencing crisis in the areas of food, shelter, or finances while engaging them in a series of actions that will empower them to move beyond crisis.”

CCM manages eight different food pantries in the area that distribute over $1.5 million worth of groceries each year. Food is donated by many sources including: grocery stores, businesses, producers, and individuals. Pantries except non-perishable items such as canned good and boxed foods (no glass items please) as well as fresh vegetables. No prepared foods are accepted.

Garden overflowing? Don’t let your produce go to waste. Donations can be made Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Crisis Center & Warehouse, 246 Country Club Drive, Concord.
