Residents in Cabarrus County can enjoy produce from the area farm stands and farmers’ markets all year long. Along with providing locally grown, fresh, high-quality food to its customers, the Market is a place where friends gather and community ties are renewed and strengthened.
The Adams Garden:
Conveniently located at 4758 Poplar Tent Rd (near International Drive), the Adams Garden carries seasonal locally grown produce and more. Open April through January on Saturdays from 9 am until 12 pm.
The Barbee Farm stand is located at T&A Barbee Family Farm in NW Concord at 1000 Shelton Rd. The Barbee Farm is honored as a North Carolina Century Farm for continuous farming for over 100 years! On their 70 acres, the Barbees grow a wide range of produce and fruit. Also available at the stand are eggs and ice cream. Open year-round, Monday through Friday 12 until 5:30 pm, and Saturdays 9 am until 1 pm.
Right beside the vineyard, the Farm Stand has seasonal local produce, local beef and pork, eggs, honey, and of course, local Dover wine. Open May through October, Monday through Friday 11 am until 6 pm.
The Winecoff Farmers Market is the oldest farmers market in Cabarrus County and is one of the few open year-round. A robust and thriving market, the Winecoff location received grant funds totaling $150,000 in April 2012 which enabled it to double in size. Conveniently location between Concord and Kannapolis at 518 Winecoff School Rd. Open Saturdays from 8 am until noon.
The Downtown Market is located in the Rotary Square at the corner of Corban Avenue and Union Street in downtown Concord. Regular market hours are Tuesdays from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. starting May 8th, and Saturdays from 9 am until noon starting May 26th.
The Harrisburg Market is held in the park on Mondays behind the restored Post Office (and next to the train tracks). Open Mondays May 7th through October 29th from 3 to 6 pm. Vendors include crafts, local meat, eggs, produce, and more.
The Afton Village Market
The Afton Village Market is operated independently of the Piedmont Farmer’s Market and operates between April and October on Thursdays from 4 until 7 p.m. The Afton Village market began operations on May 23, 2013 in The Afton Village neighborhood, located in front of the Wine Room.
The Mount Pleasant Market is located in downtown Mt. Pleasant (NC) on the corner of Hwy. 73 and N. College St, 1251 N. College St. The market operates May 15th through Sept. 30th on Fridays from 2 to 6 p.m.
