If you love fresh produce but don’t have the space or time for a garden, a CSA share is a great way to go! A CSA or Community Support Agriculture share provides the consumer with fresh food weekly from a local farmer for a set length of time, typically 12 weeks. The Cabarrus County Farm and Food Council’s February meeting is a wonderful opportunity to meet local farmers, to learn more about them and what they produce, and to purchase goods or a CSA share on the spot!
The meeting is Thursday, February 21st at an earlier time, 5 to 7 pm at High Branch Brewing in Concord. Come any time during that time frame to visit with: Barbee Farms, Coldwater Creek Farms, Dover Vineyards and Farm, Green Meadows Acres, Phoenix Farms (Succulents grown by Keaton Newton), and Street Fare Farms.
Even if you are not able to make the event, please take a second to share the event on your Facebook page, so we have as many attendees as possible to purchase CSAs from our farmer vendors. If you are attending, please also click “Going” on the event page.
We look forward to seeing everyone there!
